RT- Day3- Leaving Vegas into Arizona

We wanted to explore Vegas just a bit more during the day, so we enjoyed a nice walk in the sun to the Paris.

 Inside of the casino modeled after Paris was a cobblestone road with shops and even an evening looking sky.  It actually felt a bit real.

 We found a pastry shop, enjoyed a bite, and then headed back to the car for our 4ish hour trip to our hotel near the Grand Canyon.

 My first time, at least that I remember, in Arizona! 

 I was praying that the car wouldn't break down as we drove through a pretty remote area.

Another stop to eat in the heat!

 We made it to the town of Williams, our first encounter with Route 66.

 We enjoyed an evening in the small, rural town, in a quiet hotel. 

 Caleb loves his teething cookies! Yum! Looks like he grew a little scruff on his face. 

Next stop...the Grand Canyon!!!
