Aunt Cindy Came to Visit!!!
Aunt Cindy came to visit a couple weeks ago and we had SUCH a great time!
I was so happy to see her and she seemed to like seeing me too! :)
She really made me laugh a lot!
I just liked being with her too...whatever we were doing.
She even fed me some new food....I loved it...Sweet Potatoes!
I really liked being with her, even when she was working on something else.
It really looked interesting but I'm not quite sure what was going on! :)
We hung out a lot while mommy worked on packing! I think Aunt Cindy is really pretty! :)
She's really nice too. I think I could play with her every day if she lived here.
Mommy said that she really liked having her here too....we all wish we got to see each other more often. Thank for coming Aunt Cindy! We love you and miss you already!
Into to Baseball
The other day Caleb was very interested in Daddy's hat...
...so...
Daddy was happy to let him try it on!
...and of course this was a perfect opportunity for Daddy to introduce Caleb to a very important sport...
...and team (Notice the hat changed. It's an A's hat)!
Daddy is looking forward to many more times together with his son and the hat, ball and eventually the bat! And not really so much about the game but more about time together...Daddy/Son time!
6 Months
Well, moving certainly takes a lot of time, especially with a baby, so the 6 month pictures are few and not too exciting. But we at least we did it! :) So.....
The chair picture! :) This month he sits a bit more still than last, but constantly plays with whatever is nearby. And a couple closer up...
I think my favorite thing about these are his toes!
Starting Solid Food!
March 3, 10 days before the 6 month mark, we decided to introduce some solid food to Caleb. He had not only been watching us eat with great interest for quite some time, but also just seemed to need more than he was getting from milk alone. So early Saturday morning we began the new adventure of food!
Matt showed him how it's done! :) Matt's face is pretty funny, but I especially LOVE the look on Caleb's face here. He looks so interested and hopeful! It was so fun to see how extremely excited he was to finally get to see what this "eating with a spoon" thing was all about. He reached forward for every bite...
...and ate with great enthusiasm!
Can you tell how focused he is? So intense and excited about it all!
His first food was pears. We used our handy dandy baby food processor and quickly had some natural, home-made baby food!
Yes, from the fist bite, it's evident that Caleb likes food!
Since then he's had sweet potato, peas, beans, apples, prunes and today started asparagus! The crazy thing is that his favorite seems to be green veggies! Go Caleb! (what do you think of that dad?)! I wish we would have gotten a picture of his reaction to apple. It was a bit sour and his face showed it!He loves sitting in his chair...and always hooks his toes on the edge! So many new flavors yet to try!

Rolling
As I said before, I'm now really good at rolling....
....THIS is how life used to be...stuck on my blanket, staring at the ceiling!
HA, no longer! Now I can roll anywhere I want!
The problem is that things keep getting in the way, like the couch...
...and the chair. I really tried to go under or over it but it just wouldn't work!
There's more...all of my diaper changing things also get in my way...
...and my car seat, which it's hard to tell here, but I got stuck under the edge the other day...
...and worse than anything...WALLS...they are everywhere! I don't know how everyone else gets around without always bumping their heads on them like me.
But I try to make the best of it! I really liked this wall so I decided to hit it over and over again!
Yep, if you ask me, rolling is the BEST!!
Hmm, but sitting up is something new I'm working on. That is a close second at this point but might become my favorite pretty soon!Gotta go sleep now....Aunt Cindy is coming in the morning!!!

Big Boy
I put Caleb down here for a minute one Sunday afternoon and he just sat calmly...and he was looking like such a big boy..so I figured why not take some pictures. :)

Caleb Lately...
It's about time I give another update on my life. So here are a few pictures of what I've been up to...
Of course I like to hang out with mommy and daddy all the time!
I love laughing and smiling!
I recently got to visit Anders, who stopped by on his way down with HIS mommy and daddy to L.A. We met in Portland a few months ago, but now we've both grown more and had fun seeing each other again!I really liked seeing his mommy and daddy, LaVonne and Weston! (i think mommy and daddy liked it too)
I'm pretty good at standing up, but mommy said I can only do it myself for a couple seconds at a time. I think she's just too worried and doesn't realize how strong I really am! :) Oh, and I LOVE playing with this toy that someone gave me. It has music and teaches letters, colors and all kinds of things. I don't really understand it all yet so I just hit it a lot!
Now that I can roll (pictures soon), I like exploring the room and everything in it!
It's great, too, cuz if I ever get into something I shouldn't, all I have to do is give a really cute look and I'm out of trouble! :) hmm, wonder how long I'll get away with that! :)
More smiles....the other day i laughed and laughed, more than ever, when mommy copied me sticking out my tongue. If you want to see the video, go to our video blog- mattandcherylovideos.blogspot.com
I get so excited every time we get my Bible out to read before getting ready for bed! I always hit the book several times before even opening it! Mommy and Daddy said to tell whoever recommended this one that they LOVE it!!! GREAT choice!Something else I can do now is let mommy and daddy know what I want to go see, just by looking at it with lots of excitement. The other day I was walking with mommy and let her know I wanted to go see my car seat! She put me in it and it was so fun!
I finally got to use my highchair for the first time about a week ago. We got it out so that I could try sitting up in it before starting solid foods! I loved it, so I hit it a whole bunch too! :)
I even got to try out my spoon...but mommy took it away cuz she said I was going to gag myself. Oh well.
:)
Check this out! I can even hold my own bottle now! I drop it now and then but mostly hold it really well!
Me and Mommy!....and the finger I like to suck on all the time!
We tried to get a family self portrait, but it's kinda hard. These are pretty good! This is before mommy and daddy went on a short date to dinner. I don't understand it all yet, but I'm pretty sure they must be right when they told me it's important for them to do things "just the two of them" sometimes. I'm not worried...it took them almost 6 months to finally do it, so I'm pretty sure they still like hanging out with me too! :)
I like snuggling and just chillin' with mom and dad sometimes. I don't feel the need to constantly squirm around ALL the time anymore.I'm also learning to sit up, but since I feel more sure of myself leaning way forward, I usually end up in a position like this. This is one of my favorite toys...I hit it a lot too! :) (Thanks Oma).
Well, that's all for now.
Your're still here. Really....you can go now....:)
