Mirror

Caleb's new favorite spot to play is in the kitchen by the mirror.  I'm pretty sure he knows there's not really another little baby with him, but it's looks like this that make you wonder. :)
Kitchen utensils and a box make for perfect toys and keep him happy for quite a while.

At the Park

The summer showed up this weekend (we'll see if it stays), so we went to the park with the Parkins.  We were even all set to play in a little water feature, but sadly, they don't turn it on until May.  I guess we'll be back in a couple weeks. :)
As always, Zoe is the first one to hold her cousin!
She and Joshua love him to pieces!
Caleb was sure it should be ok to share Zoe's food.
Instead she gave him some applesauce, which he thoughts was pretty great.
Hangin' out with Aunt Beth and Uncle Bob.
He loved his first time swinging!
Lots of laughs and then he just relaxed and enjoyed it!
I think he is usually most excited these days about simply getting to walk around.
He's recently even trying to run, which is also quite funny to watch.
The slide wasn't too interesting to him yet, but he at least got to try it out for the first time.
So much fun can wear a person out! :)  We can already tell that if we want to go anywhere or do anything this summer, Caleb's sleeping schedule is out the window.  But, oh well, our trip to Craig's wedding next month will already take care of that one, if teething doesn't do it first. :)  Everything worked so well for a month or two, but since moving it seems like we just have to do whatever works for each given day.  So goes parenting I suppose. :)
Matt enjoyed playing some catch with Zoe and talking about baseball.
We hope to have many more memories outside this summer.

Me Lately

So here are a few pictures showing what I've been up to lately.
Mommy and Daddy think it's funny that I stick my tongue out so much!  I just like it that way!
I've accomplished a lot this last week.  On Monday I was reaching really far to get things....
...and by Wednesday I figured out how to pull my legs up and push myself forward.  I LOVE it!  I can get all around the room these days.  Mom and Dad said that if I like scooting, I'm going to really like crawling, so that's what I'm working on right now!
I like discovering new things, so when I get a chance there's no way I'm just going to get the things that are easiest to reach!  Nope, I'd rather dump out huge baskets and find what's on the bottom.  Mommy and Daddy think I'm strong because I pull over big, heavy baskets and often lift heavy toys over my head!
Remember this guy?  I saw him again the other day on this box and got all excited.  He's smaller this time, but I had to go see him and touch his face a few times!  It really made me happy! Mommy just laughed at me!
I guess I have no choice about getting accustomed to "I Love Lucy."
It's the show we watch the most around here.
It's still my favorite thing to hang out with Mommy and Daddy!  They say that I make them laugh, but I think they make me laugh!  Either way, we sure have a lot of fun together! :)  Of course there's more, but at least there's a little peak into my life. :)

Eating & Drinking

Caleb has had slow digestion for quite some time, so the doctor said to try to add some water, among other things, to his diet.  We've given him a sippy cup that has a straw and one that he can bite down on, but he hasn't quite figured either out enough to get enough to make a difference.  We've tried the bottle, but that only worked once.  I finally realized that he was most interested in how WE drink, sooooo......
....we tried it!  He was very focused and interested.
It was actually pretty funny to watch with his face smashed against the glass, but it was hard to capture in pictures.
His favorite way to drink water, now, is out of my giant water bottle.  Well, at least he's getting more liquid!
And of course eating is a lot of fun!  He was quite funny the other night with his peas!
Can you tell that he keeps us smiling?! :)
 "What?"
Pea bath!  One of these days I'll finally give in and just give him food to eat on his own.  Until now this is the messiest he's gotten.  I need to find the floor mat and give it a go!  I know he'll love it!

New Do

Caleb's hair lends itself to a perfect mohawk since it's growing mostly right down the middle of his head.  So...
...we finally styled it!  Looks pretty good I think!
Caleb didn't seem to care much, but was FAR more interested in his new favorite toy to chew on!  Good thing we were given two of them...one for the bathtub and one to take with him! :)  Cutie!

7 months!

The chair!
 Getting bigger!
fuzzy picture but it's the cute one so still have to post it. :)
I think he looks so old here.  I think it's because he's sitting up so tall.
"I'm done mom."
 "Ok, a couple more."

Grandma and Grandpa Visit!

From the second they walked in the door Caleb was smiling ear to ear!  No worries about if he'd warm up to Grandpa and Grandma after not seeing them for a while.  He truly made US smile and laugh simply by his delight in interacting with them!
"Cheryl, who's Cheryl?"  Caleb immediately sucks Grandma and Grandpa in! :)
(to their credit, they DID give me a hug before getting down on the floor with him!)
He definitely steels everyone's attention...and I admit that I love it!
Hanging out for some much needed catch-up time.
I'm not sure who made who happier!  These two were constantly smiling and laughing at each other!  I think that in this picture Caleb is relaxing from being worn out after so much fun!
 Caleb loves Grandma
He LOVES walking!  After we moved it seemed he reverted for a couple weeks and forgot how...but now he's on the move.  He walked out the door and down the sidewalk.  I guess it's time for some shoes!
Grandpa got back from a walk and snatched him up again! :)  The famous new tongue look!
Here's the smile Grandpa was so good at getting from Caleb!  I was trying to feed him and it turned into a game of peek-a-boo behind my head.  I'll try to post a video soon. :)  Super cute...Caleb AND Dad! :)
Happy Easter!  Gma and pa brought a walker for Caleb!  He steels the show again!
Not quite tall enough yet, but soon!
 Checkin' it out!
We love you Grandma and Grandpa (mom and dad)!  Thank you for coming!  We had SUCH a good time!  Can't wait to see you again soon at the wedding!
