Happy 2 Years Old!!!

Yes, we now have a TWO year old!  We had a little party for him a couple weeks before his birthday when my parents were in town.
Caleb wasn't sure what presents were yet, and he was SO happy to get an Elmo card from Grandma and Grandpa before the party!  He carried it with him and when he saw the gifts, he wasn't too interested.  Of course Joshua, his cousin, and his friend Seaton were happy to help introduce him to the wonder of opening presents!
He was happy with one gift, which kept his attention for the next couple of days.  Notice the "concentration tongue!"
Opa, Aunt Beth, Zoe, and Uncle Bob!
I love this just because Joshua looks so excited and we could hardly get Caleb to look in the bag!
And this one as well! :)  The boys were great at waiting but I just told them to go for it and maybe it would get Celeb interested.  They had a great time!
Not the greatest picture, but these are our good friends form our church, Brandon and Meghan, and their boys Seaton and Becket.  We had the party at their house.
Wish this would have turned out.  Something about just makes him look so old.
Caleb loved all of Seaton's little chairs.  Relaxing with Grandma.
He would have been content with JUST watermelon for the entire day...meal, gifts, and dessert!
It was supposed to be a pool party too, but it randomly rained all morning....it NEVER rains here! :)  Joshua and Zoe still enjoyed the pool!
Matt grilled burgers and hot dogs for everyone
Caleb found another chair and ate TWO hot dogs!  I think he's growing!
Guys and grilling just go together!
I really appreciate Meghan.  Just wish we had more time together.
Here's the "Cake."  I didn't have much time for baking so I found a cute but easy cupcake idea for Elmo and Cookie Monster!  It was pretty fun, especially when a couple looked like they had been punched in the face.  I fixed them. :)  Not perfect but the most important thing is that Caleb knew who they were and liked them!
I loved the look on his face when everyone sang to him.  I wasn't sure what he'd do, but he really liked the attention.
And he liked the cupcakes! He never gets sugary desserts so I think he was in heaven!
I didn't think anything of this picture until I looked more closely.  It made me laugh since everyone is so intently focusing on their dessert!
 CUPCAKE!!!
He seemed a bit delirious after just a few bites!  Such a happy birthday boy!
WE LOVE YOU CALEB!!!! Can't wait for another 2 years...and more! :)

Few Clips

Just a few random pictures as we're living life...
 Forts never lose there fun!
I found Caleb out on the patio just chillin' with his guitar.
Thinking of his next song maybe?
I just wanted to capture normal life since I hear people SO OFTEN tell me how it changes so fast.
How did he get so tall in just two years?
His favorite food and place to sit all in one! :)
I had the bath water running and then went out to do something.  Caleb usually only comes when I set on the edge and call him, so he surprised me with a good laugh when I went looking for him and found him happily sitting in the tub drinking out of a water bottle.
Daddy found a good use for some bungee cords!  Caleb thought it was FABULOUS!
Lots of fun!  Of course there are lots of not-so-fun moments lately as well.  The "let's try out a tantrum and see what happens," has just recently begun.  Hopefully it won't last too long.  The great thing, though, is that I think his vocabulary must double every day, which is making communication easier and easier!  Still a long ways to go, but amazing how quickly it changes!

Caleb's Buddy

Well, Caleb has been going to daycare now for about a month since Matt and I have had a change in schedules, but Fuzzy (aka- "Bah" by Caleb and "Bear" by us) continues to be his best buddy even though he's making some new friends during the day.
If we forget to have him join us for Bible reading before bed, Caleb almost always jumps up to go get him and either bring him to my lap, or sits him down on the floor next to him....AND adds the blanket!  Bear is the first to experience Caleb learning to share, as he offers his drink with a proud look on his face.
He's part of playing around the house...
....time and time again...even with Daddy!
The other day Caleb asked me to put "Abby's shirt" (she gave it to Caleb) on bear, and then insisted on having him sit with him for lunch.  I'm wondering what the next adventure will be!

"Amah and Pha-Pha"

Thank you Mom and Dad for coming to visit!  We love you SO MUCH and wish we could spend time together every week.  But since God doesn't seem to have that in His plans for today, we'll just hold onto the great memories that He's given us....and call a lot! :)
I love these pictures!  Thanks for loving Caleb so much!  He's truly a lucky boy to have such amazing Grandparents!  Love you!

More Fun

Caleb is very into trains, trucks and large vehicles these days.  We finally got to take him to ride a kids train while Grandma and Grandpa were here and he LOVED it!
 "Train!"
He was quite serious and in awe when we first headed out...
...and then when he saw "amah" and "Pha-Pha" he shouted out the window with excitement, "train, on, train!"
He was pretty upset that he couldn't just keep riding the train over and over again, but then enjoyed watching it go by.
We headed to a little water play area and just hung out for a while.
He was lucky that he didn't get soaked by the fountains that shot up out of the ground.
No, it's not as fun as a motorcycle, but had to try it out.
We wish Grandma and Grandpa could be here ALL the time.  It's so much fun!
