Holiday Baking

I was thinking that these were Christmas cookie baking pictures, which we did for our neighbors and Matt's work, but they are actually from Thanksgiving.
Caleb truly enjoys helping to make things in the kitchen, and baking gives a lot of opportunities for him to take part.
He's learned that sugar tastes good, so I'm constantly saying, "Stop! Don't lick your fingers yet please!" And then go wash his hands again! :)  Lots of patience, but it's worth it!
He's actually pretty good at remembering, compared to many kids, once I've said it a few times. He'll ask...and just stare at his fingers.
And then when I say yes, he's in heaven!
We were making an upside down cake...which I didn't really like in the end.  It was fun to make though.
He even tried the eggs this time....with a bit of help.  I took this and RAN back before shells flew everywhere.
His ultimate favorite part of baking!  He starts asking if he can lick the batter as soon as we start!
"Can I lick the bowl TOO please!?!?"
How can I resist that face? :)
