Popsicles

These are some of my ultimate favorite pictures of Caleb and Brady.
We somehow started a tradition of making popsicles all summer and having them after naptime.
On this particular day the boys sat in the doorway, enjoying their treat, and also had a conversation as they ate.
I think part of my enjoyment of this was that Brady was just learning to talk, and the conversation was a bit confusing to me, but not at all to them.
Quinton was pretty funny as well.  He's a dog but acts like another 2 year old.  He get jealous, and not just for food.  It's actually pretty funny at times.
I couldn't pick just one.  They are just too cute.
Hmm, maybe I'll share with you Quinton...or just tease you a little.
One of my favorite memories with them!
 Just another day after nap.
I love this one since Caleb looks absolutely freezing but he's very committed to eating his popsicle.  Good times with frozen juice!

Jello and Ice

A couple more experiments from the summer!
We found some cheap dinosaur jello molds one day, so we had some fun using jello for learning about texture and cause and effect.  Hmm, it's squishy.....
It's shiny in the sun...
....you can drop it and it PLOPS!!!
But best of all is you can EAT it!!!
Another day...hmm, maybe it was the same day since their clothes are the same. :)  We had made some ice cubes with food coloring and baking soda!
The boys each got a spray bottle with vinegar and got to spray the cubes to see what happened.
We popped them out of the tray and they immediately wanted to line them up.
When they sprayed them, they bubbled with fun colors....
...which made rainbows down the driveway. Looks like they enjoyed filling the tray more than the colors.
And Brady LOVED smacking his hands in the puddles we created!  Lots of fun!

Fish Hatchery and Park

Here's some more from the summer.
Once day we went to the fish hatchery, since we hadn't been in a looooong time.  We were sad to find out that the drought meant that the hatchery was closed.  We still walked around a bit and the boys had fun chasing birds instead!
 Snack time
This is a park down the road from Brady's house.  We don't go often since the playground is made more for older kids.  It is one of the prettiest around, though, with the trees and sun coming through.
I think that on this day we just stopped on our way home from somewhere else, and the boys had a blast just chasing each other around, climbing, and saying hi and cars that came by!
These are my favorite times...just watching the boys laugh together on and on!  I am blessed!

Flash Back...Experiment Fun

This must be a year or so ago.  I found these on my camera.
We were just experimenting with baking soda, vinegar, food coloring and sparkles.
Mixing and pouring is always a favorite!
...and then the silliness begins...which is even more fun!

New Bridge

Catch up time....I haven't blogged in a while AND I found some pictures from summer and the past from my phone!  SO, here we go.....
Every day on our way to Brady's house for several months Caleb watched this bridge being built.  He was SO excited once they put it up that we had to go over it as soon as possible!
It was a hot day and we had to walk a ways to get to it but it was worth it! It's named after Johnny Cash and the Folsom Prison, so the style is meant to resemble prison towers and jail bars.  It's pretty neat.
We even brought some snacks to eat ON the bridge!  They announced to every person that came by on a bicycle that, "We're On The New Bridge!"
It was fun to watch the cars go by underneath as well.  We've now driven under it many times, but I have a feeling that it will always be known to Caleb as, "the new bridge!"  And we'll always be able to say that we were once of the first people to go over it!

Even More Birthday

I found a few more birthday pictures and want to share them...
Some excitement and anticipation!  I love that he was happy when he took off the paper and thought the BOX was the gift! I think for Christmas he's getting boxes!
Walki-Talkies
Blurry, but I had to post this for the Johnsons!  Peppa Pig was a definite winner!  Thank you!
Relaxing in the mess before skyping someone else.
My favorite recent picture!  Love these moments.
Cute, sleepy three year old!

Sign of a Preschooler in Our House

I stopped a second the other day and consciously noticed the side of our fridge...and smiled...cuz I like that we have a little boy in our family! :)  (AND I'm pretty blessed and proud to be his teacher too)
