Crater Lake

We took a day to go see Crater Lake and were so glad that we did!  What an amazing place!  SO many great pictures it's hard to choose.  So here are some.
The drive up was even pretty.  Taken through front window.
 Here it is!
 I love this one!
 And this one! :)
I think Caleb was more interested in the snow than the lake.
MMMmmmmm, dirt covered snow.
 I love my baby!
When the wind blew it was quite chilly so I got lots of snuggles.
Then he decided it was time to have some fun!
 Love that smile!
It was a good couple hours.  Then we headed home to relax for the night.

Trip to Portland

We finally decided that it would be best to take two days instead of one to get to Portland.
Matt drives most of the time since he enjoys it and I usually last only an hour before I need a nap.
Caleb did amazing!  He napped well and was happy most of the time.  All it took was one interesting toy or object at a time and once he was finished, we moved to the next one.  It's amazing how a bead necklace can keep a boy busy for so long.
 Nap Time.
We stopped somewhere that had this huge chair.  Caleb cracked up laughing when I would jump out into Matt's arms.  We did it over and over.  He could hardly stand it, and of course that got us laughing pretty hard as well.  So much fun from a chair!
We had a nice hotel which Caleb enjoyed exploring and playing in the window!
I finally got the lighting right but then the smile was gone. Oh well.
If you ever see Caleb hold his arms up like this, it means he's about to jump.  We're happy that at least we have the arms up warning.  He'll do it in the most random places.  He's also started suddenly falling like a board flat onto the ground.  He scared me to death the other night when he suddenly did it on the carpet in front of me. He's usually fine, but I sure hope he doesn't do it on cement someday and crack his head. Crazy boy! :)

So overall our trip up was pretty nice.  I'll do a separate post for our day at Crater Lake.

Catching Up on Us

Well, life has been quite full lately for a variety of reasons.  So here are some things we captured in picture...in no particular order...
Caleb's interests continue to grow!  Lately he's discovered how much fun he can have with balls.  He especially likes that he can kick them since he can't kick people.  Check out the video blog.
And his love for music just grows all the time.  He's discovered how much he likes drums but his all time favorite is still the guitar.  I finally ordered one and it's already been worth every penny.
We finally spent a little money and got a shelf for his room, which Caleb enjoyed helping to put together.
 Love this picture!
 Tada!
We've been enjoying spending time getting to know the Rennas from our church.  Caleb and Seaton are becoming buddies.  He's about a year older and will have a new baby brother an a couple weeks.
I love seeing Caleb interact with others.  It's teaching him a lot.
 Just hanging around the house.
I was cooking one morning and when I checked on Caleb he had pulled out the photo album that Aunt Cindy gave him of the two of them and was looking at it. :)
"Fuzzy" continues to be his buddy at home.  They do a lot together.
He LOVES getting wrapped in his towel after baths.  Always a smile!
It's the "trying on shoe" phase for sure.
 He LOVES his new guitar.
For Caleb things don't always turn into guns, but guitars!
His cousin Joshua comes over sometimes and we bring him to school.  Caleb loves trying things that he does.
Hmm, what can I do with this chair.
I'm not sure if I posted this already.  He stopped by the soda and decided it was time for a little "Row, Row, Row Your Boat."  Much more to tell but I need to pack for vacation.  Hope you enjoyed.

First Haircut!

We finally did it!  Caleb's hair was just TOO long and messy.  It just wouldn't do for his Aunt Cindy's wedding, so we finally sat down, put on some Elmo and got out the scissors!
I took a few pictures first, but didn't try too hard since I wasn't sure how long Caleb would sit.  The timing was when Matt was gone so kind of a bummer there are no action shots while I got to work! :)
He did a good job for the most part.  Squirmy at first but then got used to it and relaxed.
And only one "after" shot since he was ready to get going.  It surprised me how I kind of felt sad while I was doing it, and it looked really strange to me once I was done....but now I'm totally used to it and when I see pictures of the long hair I think he looks so much better now.  I DO miss running my fingers through it though.

Jaimee's Wedding

A friend from work got married a few weeks ago on a beautiful day.  This is Cheryl and Julianna and her daughter, who are good friends from work.
Part of the fun for me was getting to enjoy an evening out with friends by myself.  Doesn't happen too often anymore.  I have to admit that I missed my guys though.

Eric and Shelea

Some good friends from Portland were in town a while back and we had a great time visiting.
Caleb got to see the capital for the first time!
Don't know why these pictures are squished. No time to figure it out.
