Here we are...steadily growing. :) I think I finally actually feel like I look a bit pregnant instead of like I've just been eating a bit extra. People who don't see me often tend to tell me that I'm still not showing much, but everyone who sees me regularly have been starting to comment about how they can finally tell that there's a baby in there! It's fun to see others get excited with me!
The "What to Expect When Expecting" weekly update was RIGHT ON this week in my case. This week it talked about how back pain often starts around this time, not only from the natural shift in posture because of the growing baby but also from the hormone Relaxin. Sure enough, about a week ago it showed up! It's not too bad and usually easily relieved by sitting down for a while, but it surprised me that it's come already. The books have said that being pregnant often brings lots of exhaustion, which is something I haven't experienced as much as many people say....until this week. Wow, something about week 18 for me! Maybe allergies had a part in how I felt physically this week too. We'll see!
So there you have it...a little update for those who care to know. If you knew about Matt's seizure and us waiting for the ok for him to drive again, he finally got it!!! SO HAPPY...no more getting up at 4a.m. to drive him to work. LOTS more going on in our lives, but for now, I'll stop there. :)
You look adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou are SOOOOOO cute!!! I wish SO badly I could give you a hug right now!! :-( You are adorable--though you still don't look like you have much more of a tummy than the average person! But for you, I can see the diff. ;-) You look great. Doesn't look you're in maternity pants yet though! If you are, those are cute!! Have you been able to borrow some maternity clothes??
ReplyDeletenot in maternity clothes yet. i'm JUST starting to feel quite uncomfortable in what i have now when i'm sitting. i'm trying to wait to buy anything til the weather changes so i don't need to get things for more than one season. a couple people have offered to let me use their clothes. wish we could go shopping together.
ReplyDeletei was hoping to talk with you today, but matt actually has the afternoon off and we're going outside in the sun. gotta take every chance i can get with my man! crazy busy lately. but i REALLY want to talk soon. and thanks for the compliment! :) wow, if i would have known people would think i look NORMAL with this tummy, i would have eaten more before getting pregnant. :) lol. hmm, maybe not! :) love you
Yah for cute pregnant pictures! Wish I was there to see you.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture and the update! Considering you could see your hip bones through your clothes before I DEFINITELY think you look pregnant :-) Sorry you started to feel not so great this week - don't let it get you down too much I think you should still have a couple months of feeling pretty good ahead of you. It'll be a time of figuring out new limits probably. Best wishes in all things.
ReplyDeleteTHANKYOU! for the update Cheryl!!! We are similar in the fact that we have long torsos - i think i could've gone thru 7 mos of my preg with Hudson and not really looked pregnant :) YOu are adorable Cheryl and I'm so happy for you!!xxoo
