Mommy/Son Day!

Matt when to Yosemite with his dad and Beth a few weeks ago, so Caleb and I had some fun Mommy/Son bonding time! :)  We had SUCH a good time together!
He started the weekend off by being his silly self...making me laugh all Friday night! I cam into the room and found him in the bottom of the stroller with just his shirt and socks on!
Later, he decided to try out putting his lego bag on his head and then run around the house!  More laughs!  He also thought he was pretty funny, which WAS funny in itself!
Saturday was the FULL day of adventure!  We started off by heading out in the morning on a walk to Starbucks!
Caleb LOVES "fuffins" and thinks he's in heaven when he gets to have one.  These were yummy pumpkin muffins!
It was also fun to get to see the BIGGEST dog ever the same morning.  Wish I had a picture up close, cuz I could hardly believe how big it was.
Still sporting his Batman sweatshirt from Aunt Cindy, even though it's too small.  He doesn't know who Batman is yet, but since everyone exclaims, "BATMAN!!" whenever they see him, now he at least points to his shirt and says, "Batman!"
We left Starbucks and walked through the parking lot full of craft booths and such.  We were pretty much the first people there, so it was all for us, quiet and relaxing!  Caleb like the huge bounce house but wasn't quite ready to try it out.
He LOVED the baseball event.  There was air blowing out of the cone keeping the ball floating, so he could try to hit it with the bat.  He needed Daddy to teach him how to hold the bat. :)
Colored a picture that he was proud of!
Got his first Dracula teeth!  They didn't quite fit but made him laugh.
He got to see an Ambulance....
....climb on a dog training thing....
....and the dog tunnel....
....and see a HUGE dog....
....and just have fun running around!
LOVE MY BOY!
And more exciting than anything was seeing the FIRE TRUCK!!!! He hasn't stopped talking about it yet!
SOOOoooo much fun!  And even more after naptime.....in the next blog!

Getting Out

Of course we love being outside and doing things outside of the every day routine, so here's just a couple things we've done lately.
Caleb and I headed up to Apple Hill for a couple hours one weekend while Matt was at work.  We enjoyed an apply doughnut, watched the ducks and of course ran up and down the hills of grass!
Another weekend we all went to our favorite beach so far, by San Francisco and just enjoyed the afternoon together.
Wish we could do this day trip more often.  It truly refreshes our souls.
Next trip...maybe Apple Hill again or Tahoe.  SO thankful for living in such a beautiful area!

Hi

Just some random memories.
 I just liked this.
Our naked boy.  He loves his clothes off...but shoes on. :)
BIG BOY underwear.  He hasn't used them much yet, but hopefully soon!
 He loves to build
He is definitely in the stage of copying what he sees.  The other night he suddenly decided it was time to go.  He pretty much followed my morning routine...got the lunch bag, my phone, keys and he added the flashlight.  He confidently came over, gave me a kiss and said goodbye.  I helped him open the door and he went walking out, ready to drive away.  Of course it was too cold and I stayed home so he came running back in!
 A photo memory together.
Yes, we're a pretty silly family.  Good memories and good times.

Loves His Daddy

Matt is such a great dad and it reflects in the fact that Caleb loves to be like Daddy!
He often asks to wear his shirts and belts, and is quite proud when they are on.  The other day he missed him and took his shirt along with him in the car to feel close to him.
He really enjoyed the week or two of baseball playoffs when Matt was hoping for an A's victory!  A little baseball and pizza boy time!
Daddy is so nice to let Caleb stack his movies as high as he can!  So much fun!
And of course, the greatest is wearing Daddy's shoes!  Watching him try to walk is even better!

The best was the other night as Matt was walking out of the door at bedtime and Caleb quietly, with love in his voice, without any prompting said, " I vuv you Daddy."

Enjoying Birthday Gifts

Thanks for the gifts everyone!  Here are some pictures of Caleb enjoying them for the first time!
 Notice the "concentration tongue!"
There's that tongue again!  :)
He was SO happy to try out his new bike!  The helmet was from Goodwill and didn't quite fit, but he wanted to wear it too!
He's found it more fun to tip the tent over rather than play in it right side up
More presents from Oma!  I think this boy is spoiled.  We don't have room for all of this!  At least he makes use of it all!
 And some more concentration!
Thank you Aunt Carolyn for the personalized apron!  He loves it and comes in wearing it proudly all the time lately!  :)  Thanks to everyone for the gifts!
