Train Museum

Caleb and Matt had a "Daddy Date" a couple weeks ago to the train museum in Sacramento.
They first stopped to have their lunch by the water.
It was a nice clear day, but pretty cold out.
 Lots of silliness with Daddy!
Getting cold...time to run to the museum!
Caleb's gotten good at spotting Thomas trains since they are all Brady's favorites!
I wasn't there, but can easily see how HUGE this engine is~ Pretty amazing!
Caleb liked seeing the sleeping cars with all the beds.
Before leaving they enjoyed playing with the toy models that were set up for the kids.  Fun times!

Jackson

Another one of Caleb's best buddies is Jackson!

I've been taking care of him every Sunday afternoon since Brady's mom has been on maternity leave.
Brady is 8 months younger than Caleb and Jackson is about 8 months older, so it's been good for him to be on the other end of things for a while.
We usually walk to a park nearby and spend a few hours riding bikes, playing on the playground, running around and playing in the sand on the volleyball court.
They have lots of fun together and can hardly wait until the next week once we leave!

More Brady Fun

It's never a dull moment with these two!
A random day at the soccer field.  I guess it was nap time! :)
We found another volleyball court and had fun burying their legs...but I forgot my camera, so another phone picture.
This is just the other day!  These two were being SO funny rescuing everyone from imaginary fires!  I was about to get a video and of course then Caleb fell and hurt himself!  But here's a few pictures.
And an ACTION shot!  There goes Caleb to rescue someone with Brady jumping off the ledge and ready to follow right behind! So many smiles that morning! :)

More Fun at the Park

Well, I haven't gotten to spend much time yet with Siena, Brady's new baby sister.  For now she's spending time with her Mama, and we take Brady out to play a few times a week.
Parks have been our main destination lately, since it seems that anywhere inside just spreads lots of sick germs! SO MANY sick kids this year.
For some reason I think that Caleb looks REALLY old and tall in this picture!  Usually Brady is the athlete and even able to do more than Caleb on some play structures, but this is one that Caleb was proud to master and teach Brady how to do it.
Sliding down backwards together is pretty funny!
 I love this one!
I LOVE pushing Brady on the swings since he thinks it's the absolute funniest thing in the world.
He gets to laughing which of course is contagious!
Caleb thinks he's pretty funny when he slides forward in the swing.  His fear of swings is far gone!  It took him quite a while to get used to them but now he's getting quite adventurous and brave!
The volleyball court has become our seaside! :)

Liam

Of course we know that Brady is Caleb's best buddy, but he has a couple other best buddies as well.
This is Liam, who is just 3 months younger who we know from our church.
They've known each other pretty much from birth but it wasn't until a few months ago that they really bonded and are now best buds!
The pictures are from my phone, so not too clear, but you get the idea.
They get to hang out every Monday and Wednesday at some meetings we go to, as well as Sunday mornings at church.
Caleb thinks it's pretty cool that he has an older brother too, Owen!
He's SO good with Caleb!  This is Caleb's first time at Chuck-E-Cheese for Liam's birthday party!  He had a blast once he realized what all the loud, big machines could do!

Flower!

Mom brought a bulb and planted it with Caleb when they were here at Thanksgiving!  We had so much fun watching it grow every day!
The best was January when it bloomed and brightened our living room!  It was a piece of the tropics for me! :)
I'm sure it would have lasted longer if we got more sunshine, but we fully enjoyed it while it lasted!
THANK YOU MOM!!! I think I'll need one of these every winter! :)
