Grandma and Grandpa Were Here!

They got here on Thanksgiving night and came right over to Matt's mom's for dinner!  Then we had the weekend to enjoy together!!!

 Caleb loves sitting by Grandpa...and he even watches Peppa Pig with him now and then!

 He had a LOT of fun with Grandma on this visit! She brought a really cool bulb that they planted and is now growing in our window.  They played with playdough together...

 ...and the best of all was playing in his room and imagining with his vehicles and little creatures!  I came in to take a picture and was told to come back later.  I guess Grandma wins the best player award! :)

 I enjoyed getting to have brunch together....I didn't get a picture, but another highlight was just wandering around a park and getting to talk to mom about life while Grandpa and Caleb chased each other around the playground!

We needed to get out of the house one afternoon and headed to the bowling alley.  It was way too packed, which turned out for our benefit.  We went to Caleb's favorite park, "Castle Park," and had a great time playing hide and seek and chasing and being chased by our little, full of energy 3 year old! 

 The best was watching Grandpa and Caleb!  

 He was truly in heaven with so much great attention and fun!

 Poor mom wasn't enjoying it as much, although she was a great sport.  She had a cold and was just trying to stay warm.

"C'mon Grandpa....GET ME!!!"

 Yes, he's in heaven! 

 I think he wore all of us out by that evening!  It was great fun and lots of laughs though!  Totally worth it and better than staying inside all afternoon!

He decided he needed it back and once it was off said she could borrow it again! 

 MORE, MORE, MORE!!! Chase me more!!! I think he would have gone on for hours if we would have let him!

Grandpa gets an award for going through the tiniest tunnel after Caleb.  I barely fit through and was shocked when he followed us.  Caleb is quite the loved little boy! Afterwards, we went to a restaurant for my birthday dinner!  I had wings and an amazing salad!  Such great times!

Happy Thanksgiving

It was so fun to get to have Thanksgiving at Matt's mom's house since she lives in town now!

We even had Alison over for a while!

OH, and did you notice who else was in town JUST in time for dinner!?!?  Mom and Dad!!! YAAAY!

 THIS was what I was thankful for! I couldn't complain one bit!

 And this pretty much makes me happy too!  It was so nice just relaxing together and hearing lots of laughing and loving!

I'm so thankful for ALL of my family...those far away too! Happy Thanksgiving!

Picture Scavenger Hunt!

We had an afternoon with Joshua and Zoe so we came up with a something fun while we hung out.....A Picture Scavenger Hunt! I made a list of several options of pictures that they, with Matt, had to take with at least 3 people in each.  If they were able to get 20 pictures by the time we had to be at their Grandparents house, they could all pick one thing from the Dollar Tree!  We had a great time and got some FUN pictures while doing it.  

 Picture #1- Pretending to play baseball on a field.

 #2- Sitting together on a park bench.....this will do. 

 #3- Kung Fu on the top of a picnic table

 #4- On a playground!

 Hurry...run to the van for the next place! 

 #5- Sitting on top of a vehicle!  lol!  They loved this! 

 While you're up there....act like the van is moving! (the parking spot didn't help with making it look real. lol)

 #11- Wearing funny clothes!  I imagined this more as crazy styles from the men's or women's section, but it turned more into a boy band pose! LOL! Funny, too, with the picture in the background!

 #12- Playing instruments!  Again, they are truly creative!

 #15- In a Tree!  Again, I imagined this more like a cute picture of the kids hanging in a tree....but we were running out of time! :)

 #16- Diving into water!  I was thinking of a pool, but a puddle works, right!

 #17- With an animal!  I guess a rodent in a pet store will do...instead of a dog, horse or cat outside.

 #18- (Running low on time) With a fire truck....can you see it back there behind the glass?

 #19- On a train!  One more to go...

#20- With a family member!  They DID it!  We stopped at the Dollar Tree before Oma Sue and Opa Bob's house, since we knew we'd get to the goal but didn't want to be TOO late!  A GREAT afternoon!
